Therapeutic Massage Therapy
Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health. Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained and improved; and physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of Massage Therapy.
Lymphedema Therapy/Complete Decongestive Therapy
Lymphedema is an accumulation of protein-rich fluid in the superficial tissues and has important pathological and clinical consequences for the patient if left untreated. Secondary lymphedema is often caused by trauma to the lymphatic system, such as surgery, injury, scarring, infection and radiation therapy. Post-mastectomy lymphedema of the upper extremity caused by breast cancer treatment is very common. Manual lymphatic drainage by certified lymphedema therapist to promote healthy tissue, mobility and to successfully treat and manage lymphedema affecting different parts of the body.
Scar Tissue and Post-Surgery Rehab
Scar tissue management and post-surgery rehab is about treating within established protocols for recovery from surgery to achieve normalized movement, improved tissue health and scar tissue, reduction of edema/swelling and pain. Providing client education on self-care and exercise rehabilitation to further the treatment received in the clinics. Scar tissue treatment from recent surgeries and injuries to promote healing and prevent pathological scar formation by massage therapists trained in traumatic scar tissue management.
Pregnancy Massage (Prenatal)
Prenatal massage is therapeutic and relaxation massage that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical
fatigue.
The gentle, noninvasive approach of prenatal massage can ease
discomfort associated with pregnancy, help the mother-to-be prepare for
labor and give her nurturing emotional support.
Relaxation Massage

Providing safe and effective massage techniques within clinically established guidelines for people with active cancer, going through cancer treatment, post-cancer treatment, those in recovery or survivorship. Oncology massage is an approach to massage therapy based in both compassion and specialized massage treatments to help people manage their experience with cancer.
Massage protocols are adapted to the type of cancer, current condition, type of treatment, side effects of treatment, neurological and musculoskeletal related issues, scarring, medications and risks according to evidence-based practice. The treatments are modified according to the full spectrum of cancer-related issues: the physical, psycho-social and emotional consequences of cancer. In addition, the person’s individual goals are considered and aspects of the disease and cancer treatment side effects.
